INFORMATION NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Dear Customers,

This information notice has been prepared by ARJAVA KOKULANDIRMA SİSTEMLERİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, in its capacity as data controller, pursuant to Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK" or the "Law") and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.

1- Data Controller

The data controller is ARJAVA KOKULANDIRMA SİSTEMLERİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, registered with the Istanbul Trade Registry under registration number 866714, with its headquarters located at Birlik Osb Mahallesi 1 Nolu Cad. No: 4/1 Tuzla/Istanbul.

2- Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed by automated means in accordance with the principles and provisions set forth in the KVKK, and under the conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring that the commercial activities of our company are carried out in accordance with legislation and company policies, by our business units and business partners; planning and execution of tasks with business partners, authorized dealers, authorized services, and suppliers,

  • Planning and implementation of our company’s commercial policies and business strategies,

  • Planning and execution of human resources operations and personnel recruitment processes,

  • Planning and execution of internship and training programs,

  • Protecting the commercial reputation and reliability of our company,

  • Conducting internal audit activities,

  • Delivery of products ordered via our online sales platform www.arjava.com.tr,

  • Execution of financial, accounting, and tax-related operations, including invoicing related to sales,

  • Fulfillment of after-sales support obligations,

  • Operation of our call center,

  • Handling employee and customer requests and complaints,

  • Conducting statistical evaluations related to customer satisfaction, database creation, market research, and analysis,

  • Providing product recommendations based on customers’ shopping preferences,

  • If the customer consents, sending campaigns, promotions, and product information to members (Customers can choose to opt in or out of such notifications at the time of registration, or later via account settings or the unsubscribe link in such communications),

  • Fulfilling our legal obligations and exercising our legal rights arising from applicable legislation.

3- Transfer of Personal Data

Personal data may be transferred, provided that sufficient and effective safeguards are in place, and in accordance with the principles in KVKK and the conditions set forth in Articles 8 and 9, to our business partners, suppliers, authorized dealers, legally authorized public institutions, and private persons, for the purposes mentioned above.
For detailed information on domestic and international transfers of personal data, please refer to the ARJAVA Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy. Our company takes all necessary administrative and technical measures for the protection of personal data and provides training to employees to ensure utmost care in this matter.

4- Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, data subjects have the right to apply to our company to:

  • Learn whether their personal data is being processed,

  • Request information if their personal data has been processed,

  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,

  • Learn about third parties to whom the data is transferred domestically or abroad,

  • Request correction if their data has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,

  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data,

  • Request notification of correction, deletion, or destruction to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,

  • Object to the occurrence of a result to the detriment of the data subject due to the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems,

  • Request compensation for damages in case of unlawful processing of personal data.

Our company will respond to the request as soon as possible and within a maximum of thirty (30) days, free of charge. However, if the process requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Authority.
